When researchers from Bristol University conducted a survey to estimate the population of pet dogs and cats in the UK, their poll results yielded much more interesting data than they expected. They seem to have found some very interesting data on why certain people prefer dogs, while others prefer cats. The researchers polled more than 2,500 households with pets.
