Dog owners warned over ice risk

Dog owners are being warned by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service about taking pets for walks near water which may have frozen in cold weather. The warning comes after a dog died after falling through ice on a river in Exeter on Friday. Two fire engines from Exeter were called out to near the Mill on the Exe, on Bonhay Road, shortly after midday. Firefighters tried to rescue the animal using water safety mats and lines but it did not survive. Share on FacebookTweet more

Sabi, a highly-trained bomb sniffer dog, disappeared 14 months ago. The black Labrador became separated from her handler when Australian, US and Afghan Special Forces clashed with Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan last year. All hope of Sabi’s safe return had been lost with soldiers presuming she had been picked up by the Taliban, she had been officially declared missing in action. The next product im going to write about is the Petsavers electric heatpad, this product is a heat pad which you can put under your pets bedding to keep them warm, all you do is plug it in the wall, and hey presto!! in ways this is better than the snugglesafe heatpad because you can keep it turned on all night rather than the heat eventually running out 0n the Snugglesafe, the downside with the Petsavers heatpad is that it is not portable like the Snuggle safe heatpad. here is a bit more info on the snugglesafe heatpad.
